The Himeros Series (3rd installment in progress) [Adrift]

The Himeros Series!

An earlier version of the first game, Himeros Hotel, is actually available on the old AIF Archive, but has since been expanded and now exists as the first entrant into a three-part series of Adrift games.

From the author's description: You play as a young man who starts work at a very special hotel owned by your mysterious uncle. During your stay you get familiar with the clients and staff through hard work and intimate moments. The story is self-contained while also setting up the world for Himeros Haven and Himeros Horizon.

​ Personal review: if I'm ever citing either great contemporary examples of AIF games or my personal favorite adult games of the last few years, I almost always mention this series. For me, the main draws are the epic story (and I mean that in the sense of both length and scope), the lovely images of the ladies, and the enthralling world. I can't pretend it's for everybody, though. Specifically Himeros Hotel, the first game. There's a bit of an adjustment period as you get used to how the game works (tip: if you get stuck, try varying your schedule if you can. Eventually you'll figure out how to trigger events that move things forward), but this series rewards those who stay with it and are willing to delve into its mysteries.

Note 1: in the great tradition of Quest for Glory and Mass Effect, this game saves certain decisions of your character between games. Save that code you get when you finish each game!  Also, it is strongly recommended that you play the games in order.  There is a lot of story here to follow!

The third part of the game is still being funded on Seztwork's Patreon page, but he also includes on that page a public version that is generally about half a release behind the main version, which should generally be available in a recent post here: https://www.patreon.com/Seztworks (as of this post, it's version 0.4 of Himeros Horizon).

Note 2: If you have trouble getting the game to work (this is usually a virus scanner flagging a false positive), check out the "Installation" part of the f95 pages for information on how to get around this issue.  No external runner needed, unlike some other AIF games I will recommend.
